1. Purpose BlackFish Industrial LLC (“BlackFish Industrial,” “we,” or “us”) uses text messaging (SMS/MMS) strictly to communicate with customers regarding legitimate business matters such as quotes, work order updates, scheduling, or service confirmations. This policy ensures that all messaging activities comply with RingCentral’s SMS/MMS Content Policy, CTIA guidelines, and U.S. federal communication laws. 

2. Customer-Initiated Messaging Requirement We do not send unsolicited text messages. To begin a text conversation, the customer must text BlackFish Industrial first (for example, by texting a company number listed on invoices, quotes, or our website). By doing so, the customer expressly consents to receive text responses related to that inquiry or service. 

3. Consent and Opt-In Customer consent is obtained when they initiate a text message to us. Texting our number constitutes an opt-in for relevant business communications. We do not purchase, rent, or use third-party contact lists for text messaging. Marketing or promotional content is not sent via text without separate, written consent. 

4. Message Content Messages are limited to business-relevant purposes only, including: quotes, estimates, and order confirmations; scheduling and appointment coordination; job status updates or delivery notifications; and safety alerts or urgent operational notices. We will never use text messaging for unsolicited promotions, debt collection, political, adult, or inappropriate content, third-party advertisements, or alcohol, tobacco, or firearm promotions. 

5. Frequency and Timing We strive to keep text communication minimal and purposeful. Messages are sent only during normal business hours (Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. MST). No more than 50 messages per originating number per minute, consistent with RingCentral policy. 

6. Opt-Out Procedure Customers may stop receiving messages at any time by replying: “STOP”. Once an opt-out is received, no further texts will be sent unless the customer initiates a new conversation. 

7. Privacy and Data Protection All text communications are processed through RingCentral’s secure platform and are retained in accordance with our record-keeping and data-protection policies. Personal information collected via SMS is used only for legitimate business purposes and will never be sold or shared without consent.

9. Policy Compliance This policy follows the RingCentral SMS/MMS Content Policy, CTIA Messaging Principles & Best Practices, and FCC TCPA regulations. Any employee who violates this policy may be subject to disciplinary action.
